Cumulus Clouds above the Trnovski Gozd

The Trnovski gozd (in english: The Woods of Trnovo or Trnovo Forest Plateau) is a high karst plateau in the northwesternmost part of the Dinaric Alps, situated in Western Slovenia. It is the location of some well-known paragliding take-off sites. Of these sites Lijak is probably the most popular. Flying is usually possible when a gentle breeze is blowing from the Vipava Valley. Cumulus clouds are good signs it will be easy to remain airborne.

During the late afternoon of this day a cloud street – a band of cumulus clouds – formed above the Trnovski gozd. We hope you enjoy these paragliding views of the Upper Vipava Valley.
